The results of the recent poll are telling me that my prices are to the high side. However, I just want to explain the breakdown of costs and how I arrived at my selling price.
Beside the higher cost of apparels in Japan, the international shipping (from Japan to Singapore) as well as the courier delivery costs (from Singapore to you, to ensure 100% delivery - but you have the option to self-collect where I will deduct S$5 from the selling price) has also been factored in my pricing. If you get an item online from Japan yourself, shipping from Japan to Singapore alone already costs around the S$30 - S$40 range (for 1 KG), and registered mail to you costs around S$5 - S$10, depending on the weight. With that, the logistics cost of at least S$35, and as much as S$50, has already been included in my selling price.
In order to reduce the overall cost and still maintain a reasonable price to you, I am doing a consolidation of orders, purchasing in bulk from suppliers and reducing the overall logistics costs by bringing in products in batches.
By purchasing the products from me, you have no worries that goods will get lost in transit (as you are guaranteed of receiving the product by AhBoy.Com; buying insurance to protect your goods will incur additional S$20 to the insurance company), and I even provided you with the 7-day exchange policy (given that the condition of the product is as good as when you received it). You can be assured about the quality of the products as I will pre-screen them before selling to you.
My margin has already been squeezed and please do factor in the above costs and benefits before judging my prices. :)
